Die Stoltera stellt einen charakteristischen Ausschnitt eines aktiven Geschiebemergelkliffs dar, an dem mehrere Grundmoränen verschiedener Eiszeiten aufgeschlossen werden. Auf der Kliffschulter stockt ein buchendominierter Laubwald.
