Urtümlicher Waldbestand auf in Muldenlage vermutlich aus Quellsituationen entstandenen hydromorphen Bodentypen (ehem. Quellkuppe mit umgebender Vermoorung). Seltener Typ des Eichen-Hainbuchenwald-Komplexes. In Randbereichen ehem. Niederwaldnutzung.
