Other Site Characteristics

Flachwelliges bis hügeliges Gelände mit vermoorten Mulden und Bachtälern. Ausgedehnte Sandheiden auf Geschiebedecksand. Großflächige Moorheiden mit allen Übergängen zur feuchten Sandheide und zur Hochmoorvegetation.

4.2 Quality and importance

Einer der größten und wertvollsten Moor- und Heidekomplexe in Niedersachsen. Wichtigstes repräsentatives Gebiet für Borstgras-Rasen, Dünenheiden, Feuchtheiden und Übergangsmoore im Naturraum Lüneburger Heide.
