Offenlandbereich nördlich von Bohmte, östlich der B51 an der Landesgrenze zu Niedersachsen im Übergang zur westlich anschließenden Hunteniederung. Grünland- / Ackerkomplex mit verzweigtem Grabensystem.

Das Gebiet beherbergt eine der größten und stabilsten (Vorkommen seit mind. 20 Jahren bestätigt) Populationen der Helm-Azurjungfer in NRW, unregelmäßig tritt auch die vom Aussterben bedrohte Vogel-Azurjungfer auf.
