ausgedehnter naturnaher Stadtwald, Verlandungsmoore mit offenen Wasserflächen, Erlensumpf- und -bruchwald, Torfmoosschwingrasen, Kiefern-Birken-Eichenwald

4.2 Quality and importance

naturnaher Kiefern-Eichenmischwald, guter Altbaumbestand mit Höhlenreichtum, Vorkommen seltener Moorpflanzen (u.a. Sumpfporst und versch. Moose), bedeutender Amphibienlaichplatz, Der westliche Teil zeigt das hügelige Relief einer Endmoränenlandschaft und wird vom Grunewaldgraben durchzogen. Östlich schließt sich die Grundmoränenfläche des Teltow an, durch die von Nordost nach Südwest in einer Rinne die Grunewaldseenkette verläuft. In den Senken entstanden nacheiszeitlich kleine Kesselmoore.
