Großes Torfmoor: Hochmoor und degenerierte Hochmoorflächen, auf Teilflächen mit Regenerationsstadien, am Rand Moorwald, Röhrichte Grünland. Altes Moor: Moorwaldkomplex und Röhrichte, Teilfläche als Feuchtheide, randlich Grünland Ergänzung zu 3.3.: Im Gebiet gibt es bedeutsame Vorkommen folgender Vogelarten: Teichrohrsänger, Eisvogel, Spießente, Löffelente, Krickente, Knäkente, Wiesenpieper, Tafelente, Flussregenpfeifer, Trauerseeschwalbe, Weißstorch, Schwarzstorch, Rohrweihe, Wachtelkönig, Bekassine, Kranich, Neuntöter, Raubwürger, Nachtigall, Großer Brachvogel, Pirol, Wespenbussard, Kampfläufer, Tüpfelsumpfhuhn, Wasserralle, Braunkehlchen, Schwarzkehlchen, Zwergtaucher, Bruchwasserläufer, Grünschenkel, Waldwasserläufer.
