Other Site Characteristics

Waldgebiet über Sand- und Tonsteinen des Lias. Naturnahe Bachläufe mit Erlen-Eschenwäldern. Hainsimsen-Buchenwald. Sternmieren-Eichen-Hainbuchenwälder. Basenreiche Pfeifengraswiese. Daneben Nadelholzforste, junge Eichenforste.

4.2 Quality and importance

Großflächiges Wald-Naturschutzgebiet mit ungenutzten Kernbereichen. Typischer Hainsimsen-Buchenwald am Nordrand seiner Verbreitung. Gut ausgeprägte Erlen-Eschenwälder. Sehr artenreiche Pfeifengras-Wiese. Viele gefährdete Arten.
