Other Site Characteristics

Steilhänge eines tief zertalten Muschelkalk-Plattenrandes mit Bergstürzen, Felsabrisswänden im Wellenkalk, Kalkschutthalden auf dem Rötsockel, mit naturnahen Waldmeister- und Orchideen-Buchenwäldern (z. T. mit Eiben) und einzelnen Offenlandbiotopen

4.2 Quality and importance

Mit großflächigen Buchenwäldern, Karsthängen und Felsabbrüchen bildet das Gebiet in Verbindung mit beweideten Kalk-Trockenrasen, Wacholderheiden und Feuchtbiotopen in den Talgründen ein bedeutendes Refugium insb. für Uhu und Schwarzstorch.
