Other Site Characteristics

Reich strukturierte Unstruthänge mit Kalkfelsfluren, teilweise orchideenreichen Halbtrockenrasen, Niederwaldresten, Trockengebüschen und alten Steinbrüchen. 6210 z.T. prioritär.

4.2 Quality and importance

Gut ausgeprägter xerothermer Vegetationskomplex und kleinflächiger, artenreicher Laubwaldbestand. Lebensraum zahlreicher, hoch spezialisierter Pflanzen- und Insektenarten. Bei Weischütz befindet sich eine ausgedehnte bronzezeitliche Siedlung. Sandstein des Mittleren Buntsandsteins.
