Other Site Characteristics

Weier- und Winterbach zeichnen sich durch naturnahe Bachläufe mit dichtem Ufergehölz und Hochstaudenfluren inmitten von Extensivgrünland aus. Auf Basaltblockmeeren stocken artenreiche Eschen-Ahorn-Wälder. Ergänzung zu 3.3.: Im Gebiet gibt es bedeutsame Vorkommen folgender Vogelarten: Eisvogel, Grauspecht, Haselhuhn, Rotmilan, Schwarzspecht

Großflächige Vorkommen von Schlucht- und Schatthangmischwäldern, naturnahen Bächen mit Bach- und Quell-Erlen-Auwäldern und extensiv genutzten submontanen Mähwiesen. Basaltfelsengruppe Wildweiberhaus und Steinbrüche als (historische) Geotope
