Die Kuppen und Hänge des Massenkalkes bei Pesch sind vorwiegend mit Kalkbuchenwäldern (z.T. Niederwäldern) bestockt, in Teilbereichen Dolinen und Pingen sowie ein ehemaliger Steinbruch. Ergänzung zu 3.3.: Im Gebiet gibt es bedeutsame Vorkommen folgender Vogelarten: Neuntöter
