| Naturnah bewaldete, teilweise lößüberlagerte Basaltkuppe mit stark geneigten bis steilen Ost-, Süd- und Westhängen. Flacher Nordhang mit sukzessionsgefährdetem Magergrünland. |

| Ausgeprägter, naturnaher Waldmeister-Buchenwald, der einen am Südosthang gelegenen Ahorn-Linden-Blockschuttwald umgibt.
Ruine einer 1303 von Johann v. Nassau-Dillenburg errichteten Burg, 'Maienburg' o. 'Marenburg', ursprüngl. Name war 'Burg Eisenberg', die 1632 zerstört wurde.
Basaltkegel umrahmt von Tonlagerstätten (tertiäre plastische Tone). |
