Hiiu madala loodusala asub Läänemeres Hiiumaast loodes ning selle pindala on ca 4500 ha. Karide kaitseks loodud alal paljandub aluspõhja kivim (lubjakivi), mis on Läänemeres unikaalne kõva merepõhja tüüp.
