Other Site Characteristics

Saaremetsa loodusala asub Saaremaal ning selle pindala on ca 85 ha. Ala on moodustatud poollooduslike koosluste - puisniitude ja sinihelmikaniitude - kaitseks, mis moodustavad loodusalast üle 80%. Loodusalal kaitstavateks liikideks on harilik käoraamat, kahelehine käokeel ja metsõunapuu.

4.2 Quality and importance

Saaremetsa loodusalal kaitstavate poollooduslike koosluste - sinihelmikakooslused (6410) ja puisniidud (*6530) - esinduslikkus on varieeruv (arvestatav kuni hea). 2016. aasta seisuga hooldatakse kokku 6,42 hektarit.
