Lavatsi järve loodusala asub Tartumaal ning hõlmab endas Lavatsi järve. Lavatsi järve veepeegli pindala on 8,8 ha, keskmine sügavus 6,9 m ja suurim sügavus 14 m. Oru loode- ja kagunõlvad on kõrged, kaetud elamumaade, männimetsa ja põldudega. Oru lammile jäävad kaldad on soised ja mudased, mõnes kohas ka kruusased. 2010. aastal läbi viidud hüdrobioloogilise seire käigus kirjeldati Lavatsi järvest 41 liiki veetaimi – 33 kaldavee-, 3 ujulehtedega ja 5 veesisest taime ning 8 liiki kalu
