Lubjaahujärve loodusala asub Valgamaal ning selle pindalaks on vaid ca 1 ha. Kooraste järvestikku kuuluva Lubjaahujärve suurim sügavus 4,8 m ja keskmine sügavus 3 m. Järve pikkus 200 m, laius 60 m ja kaldajoone pikkus 608 m. Järvest voolab läbi Sillaotsa jõgi. Lõunast suubub järve allikaline ning kivise-kruusase põhjaga oja. Lubjaahujärv paikneb kõrgete ja järskude veerudega orus. Järv on piiratud õõtsikuribaga.

Lubjaahujärve loodusalal asuv Kooraste Lubjaahju järv kuulub elupaigatüüpi looduslikult rohketoiteline järved (3150). Tegemist on väärtusliku järveelupaigaga, mille esinduslikkus ning looduskaitseline seisund on hea.
