Other Site Characteristics

Murati loodusala asub Võrumaal ning selle pindala on ca 180 ha. Ala on ühtlasi ka osa Misso linnualast. Alale jääb looduslikult rohketoiteliste järvede elupaigatüüpi kuuluv Murati järv, mis on heaks toitumisalaks kalakotkale. Järve pindala on ca 66 ha ja keskmine sügavus 3,6 m. Mitmekesise maastikuga loodusalal esineb lisaks järvele ka esinduslikud siirdesoo ja rabametsad. Kaitselalustest taimedest esineb kaitsealust vööthuul sõrmkäppa (Dactylorhiza fuchsii).

4.2 Quality and importance

Murati loodusalale jääv Murati järv on looduslikult rohketoiteliste järvede elupaigatüüp (3150), mille esinduslikkus on väga hea ja looduskaitseline seisund hea. Mitmekesine järv on Misso linnuala osa, mis on ennekõike oluline kalakotka toitumisala. Alal esineb ka siirdesoo ja rabametsade (*91D0) elupaigatüüp, mille esinduslikkus ja looduskaitseline seisund on hea. Kuigi järve piirkonnas on väga palju raiemõjuga metsi on just siirdesoo metsad väga vähese inimmõjuga.
