Other Site Characteristics

Archipiélago cercano a la costa en el que se localizan importantes colonias de aves marinas (Larus cachinnans y Phalacrocorax aristotelis). Comunidades vegetales de interés: Honckenyo-Euphorbietum peplis; Crithmo-Armerietum pubigerae; Otantho maritimi-Amophiletum australis; Iberidetum procumbentis; Ulici latebracteati-Coremetum albi; Ulici europaei-Ericetum cinereae; Cisto salvifoli-Ulicetum humilis.

4.2 Quality and importance

Presencia de acantilados y sistema dunar con especies singulares de gran interés botánico, entre las que se incluyen endemismos y otras especies características de estos medios como Armeria pungens y el helecho Asplenium marinum. Importantes colonias de Cormorán Moñudo (Phalacrocorax aristotelis), que con 1.000p se trata de una de las más importantes de Europa, y de Gaviota Patiamarilla (Larus cachinnans) con 20.000p, una de las más importantes del mundo.
