4.2 Quality and importance
| Alberga poblaciones nidificantes de 15 especies de aves incluidas en el Anexo I de la Directiva 79/409/CEE. La zona es de especial relevancia para la conservación de aves esteparias. Acoge el 100% de los efectivos regionales de Ganga Ibérica, el 79,5% de Ganga Ortega y el 42,0% de Sisón Común. Desde 2006 nidifican además algunas parejas de Cernícalo Primilla. Presenta también densidades elevadas de Alcaraván Común. También nidifica el Halcón Peregrino, Búho Real y Culebrera Europea.
Los rangos de las poblaciones de aves reflejadas en el apartado 3.2 muestran los contingentes mínimos y máximos registrados en el periodo 2003-2008, elaborados a partir de censos oficiales. |
