Other Site Characteristics

Brezales secos y brezales húmedos de Erica cilliaris y Erica tetralis. Turberas de cobertor y robledales de Quercus robur y pyrenaica. Elevado número de endemismos locales.

4.2 Quality and importance

Contiguo al Parque Nacional Peneda-Gêres. Primer parque transfronterizo designado como EUROPARC por la FNNP. Elevado número de endémismos locales florísticos. Gran interés geomorfológico, debido a la presencia de los circos glaciares más bajos de la península. Destaca la presencia de Lobo (Canis lupus) en el Parque Natural.
