Other Site Characteristics

Cavidad catalogada como Refugio de Importancia Comunitaria por la presencia de especies de quirópteros. Elevado interés espeleógico y científico.

4.2 Quality and importance

Es la cavidad asturiana con mayor población troglobia conocida, con mas de 30 especies de insectos. Tambien es un interesante yacimiento prehistorico de las culturas solutrense y magdaleniense.
