Conjunto de brezales húmedos con gran cantidad de pequeñas turberas difíciles de cartografiar a escala 1:50.000, desarrollados sobre la línea de cumbres existente entre los ríos Pas y Besaya, en límite biogreográfico entre el Sector Galaico-Asturiano y el Sector Cántabro-Euskaldun.
