Other Site Characteristics

El río Llobregat d'Empordà es un afluente del río Muga por el lado izquierdo. Nace al pico del Llobregat, pasa por la Junquera y recibe las aguas de la vertiente sur de la sierra de la Albera.Es un espacio eminentemente fluvial con presencia de fauna de especial interés. El espacio se alarga desde la Agullana a Peralada. Tiene una gran importancia como conector biológico entre las zonas de montaña de la Albera y de la llanura litoral ampurdanesa, además de ser una zona clave en la ruta migratoria de aves. Se desarrolla una frondosa vegetación de ribera (alisos) y bosques de alcornoque. Destacar el estanque de Can Gaspar, un pequeño estanque de aguas temporales.

Espacio eminentemente fluvial con presencia de fauna de especial interés. Vegetación de ribera y alcornocales con alisedas. Posee una gran importancia como conector biológico entre las zonas de montaña y el litoral, además de ser una zona clave en la ruta migratotia de las rapaces
