Other Site Characteristics
| El bloque estructural de Cardó se sitúa en la margen izquierda del río Ebro, con desniveles superiores a los 900 m, y limita al sur con la Cubeta de Mora. Forma una estructura muy quebrada y replegada por encabalgamientos de notable complejidad tectónica, constituida básicamente por materiales calcáreos. El paisaje esencialmente mediterráneo presenta muchos parecidos con la zona de los Puertos, pero a diferencia de este espacio, carece un claro estrato superior submediterráneo. El conjunto de la sierra, con una morfología rica y un paisaje típicamente mediterráneo, presenta interesantes contrastes entre las umbrías, las partes altas y las solanas. |

| Los límites de este espacio han sido trazados de acuerdo con la cartografía topográfica y planimétrica de referencia, a escala 1:50.000, del Instituto Cartográfico de Catalunya, que es el instituto cartográfico oficial y competente de la Generalitat de Catalunya.
