Vegetación característica del sector alicantino de la provincia Murciano-Almeriense, alberga matorrales de Mayteno-Periplocetum angustifoliae en la que debe ser una de sus poblaciones más septemtrionales. Flora rica en endemismos, algunos de ellos exclusivos de esta sierra y sus vecinas. Refugio de murciélagos en la cueva del Perro (Cox).
