Mismas características que su vecina sierra de Callosa con la que forma una unidad florística, alberga con ella endemismos exclusivos. Contiene excelentes representaciones de los hábitats "vegetación casmofítica subtipos calcícolas" y de "fruticedas y retamares termófilos". Igualmente resulta importante para aves rapaces y contiene una considerable población de Sideritis incana subsp. glauca.
