4.2 Quality and importance

Se trata de un valle agrícola, considerado a pesar de ello de un gran interés, ya que a causa de su peculiar configuración -parcelas de pequeño tamaño en las que alternan cultivos de cereal, vid y frutales, separados por setos y márgenes naturales e incluso algunos originales arenales interiores colonizados por pinares de pino piñonero-la convierten en hábitat apropiado para un gran número de especies de fauna, sobre todo pequeñas rapaces. Se incluye, asi mismo, una pequeña zona de montaña -en la Serra de la Solana de Beneixama-que incopora hábitats de cierto interés.
