Se trata de un terreno eminentemente agrícola con cultivos extensivos de cereal separados por muros de piedra que se alternan con pequeños bosques de acebuche (Olea europaea var. silvestris) configurando el paisage agrícola en mosaico típico menorquín.

El lugar coincide con la cuenca de recepción de un hábitat prioritario por la directiva del Consejo 92/43/CEE: estanque temporal mediterráneo.
