Other Site Characteristics
El ámbito del Plan queda encuadrado principalmente en la categoría paisajística Campiñas, así lla mayor parte de las ZEC Río Salado de Conil se enmarca dentro de Campiñas de Sidonia. La desembocadura de la ZEC Río Salado de Conil pertenece a la categoría Litoral Atlántico. |
4.2 Quality and importance
En el momento de la propuesta de LIC, era importante para fartet (Aphanius iberus). Actualmente, la ZEC es fundamental para el desarrollo óptimo de fases biológicas del Aphanius baeticus: reproducción y alimentación.
Se realiza el cambio y actualización de Aphanius iberus a Aphanius baeticus (salinete) en los formularios Normalizados de Datos Natura 2000. El Aphanius iberus (fartet), en el momento de la aprobación de la Directiva 92/43/CEE del Consejo de la Unión Europea relativa a la Conservación de los hábitats naturales y de la flora y fauna silvestres, era considerada el único taxon del género Aphanius presente en Andalucía. Recientes estudios morfológicos y filogenéticos han demostrado diferencias significativas entre las poblaciones orientales y occidentales, dando como resultado la descripción de una nueva especie del género; Aphanius baeticus (salinete), catalogada en peligro de extinción en el Catálogo Nacional de Especies Amenazadas y en el Catálogo Andaluz de Especies Amenazadas. Se trata de un endemismo de Andalucía occidental, distribuido en las provincias de Sevilla, Cádiz y Huelva. |
