| Alue onpienialainen talousmetsien ympäröimä alue, jonka mäntyvaltaisissa boreaalisissa luonnonmetsissä esiintyy runsaasti lahopuuta, pystykeloja ja kääpiä. Alueella tavataan myös kapeita suojuotteja, joissa esiintyy korpia ja hieman rämettä. |
4.2 Quality and importance
| Alue on boreaalista luonnonmetsää pientä mäntytaimikkoa lukuunottamatta. Alueella on merkitystä etenkin vanhojen metsien linnustolle ja kolopesijöille.
Suojelutavoitteen määrittely:
Kaikki tietolomakkeen taulukoissa 3.1 ja 3.2 mainitut luontotyypit ja lajit kuuluvat alueen suojeluperusteisiin ja kaikkien niiden suojelutavoitteena on vähintäänkin alueen merkityksen säilyttäminen osana verkostoa.
Lisäksi alueen suojelussa ja hoidossa painotetaan seuraavia tavoitteita:
- alueella vallitseva luontotyyppien ja lajien sekä niiden elinympäristöjen tila säilytetään turvaamalla luonnon omien prosessien mukainen kehitys |
