Kaislasenjärvi sijaitsee Alajoen yläjuoksulla. Järvi on lievästi ruskeavetinen ja kasvillisuudeltaan järviruokovaltainen. Myös saraikkovyöhyke on yhtenäinen ja leveä. Järvi on huomattavalta osalta metsärantainen ja rannat ovat lähes rakentamattomat.

4.2 Quality and importance

Järven linnuston monipuolisin ja runsain ryhmä on vesilinnut. Järvellä on melko paljon myös harvinaisuuksia (mm. runsaasti ruovikkolintuja). Järven muutonaikainen merkitys on myös suuri. Rannat ovat lähes rakentamattomat ja niiden rakentaminen vaikuttaisi erityisesti ratavyöhykkeen ja ruovikkojen linnustoon. Suojelutavoitteen määrittely: Kaikki tietolomakkeen taulukossa 3.2 mainitut lajit kuuluvat alueen suojeluperusteisiin ja kaikkien niiden suojelutavoitteena on vähintään alueen merkityksen säilyttäminen osana verkostoa. Lisäksi alueen suojelussa ja hoidossa painotetaan seuraavaa tavoitetta: - alueella vallitseva luontotyyppien ja lajien sekä niiden elinympäristöjen tila säilytetään alueenkäyttöä ohjaamalla. - lajin elinympäristön laatua tai lajin populaation elinvoimaisuutta parannetaan ennallistamis- ja hoitotoimenpitein.
