| Hautahuhdan alue (Soidinniemi) on vanhojen metsien suojelualue. Alueella esiintyy tuoreen kankaan vanhaa havusekametsää, sekä karunpuoleisia soita. Täystiheässä, eri latvuskerroksia sisältävässä metsässä on vain hyvin vähän lehtipuustoa. Kuolleita pystypuita, sekä maapuita näkee yleisesti. Myös palokuroja löytyy alueen puista. |
4.2 Quality and importance
| Alue on vanhojen metsien suojelukohde, jolla esiintyy Keski-Pohjanmaalle harvinaista luonnontilaista metsää.
Aluetta uhkaa lähinnä sen ympäristössä tehdyt ojitukset ja hakkuut. Kohteen läpi kulkee myös Pulkkisen kylätie.
Suojelutavoitteen määrittely:
Kaikki tietolomakkeen taulukoissa 3.1 ja 3.2 mainitut luontotyypit ja lajit kuuluvat alueen suojeluperusteisiin ja kaikkien niiden suojelutavoitteena on vähintäänkin alueen merkityksen säilyttäminen osana verkostoa.
Lisäksi alueen suojelussa ja hoidossa painotetaan seuraavia tavoitteita:
- alueella vallitseva luontotyyppien ja lajien sekä niiden elinympäristöjen tila säilytetään turvaamalla luonnon omien prosessien mukainen kehitys |
