landes assises sur la craie tertiaire du bassin parisien Etat de conservation très bon, fortes potentialités biologiques. Nécessité de maintenir l'ensoleillement au niveau des pelouses et de maintenir les petits éboulis, habitat principal de Sisymbrium supinum Pour l'alnion, maintenir le niveau de la nappe et ne pas apporter de rectification du cours d'eau..

4.2 Quality and importance

Le camp militaire de Suippe est un des quatre grands camps de la Champagne crayeuse. Il constitue un très vaste ensemble semi-naturel isolé au milieu des grandes cultures. Il est devenu un terrain militaire à la suite de la première guerre mondiale ; depuis la végétation y évolue naturellement. Les pelouses calcaires sur craie couvrent de vastes surfaces. Les fruticées tendent à gagner de l'importance au détriment des pelouses. De grands secteurs sont couverts par du pin sylvestre et du pin noir. Le camp est traversé par une petite rivière et ses affluents. Les rives sont bordées de boisements à dominance de frêne.
