Other Site Characteristics
| En plein cœur de la vallée de l'Aisne, le site présente un aspect très intéressant pour l'avifaune du fait de la présence de nombreuses prairies de fauche. Localisé au sein d'un important couloir de migration à l'échelle de la région, il joue un rôle important aussi bien pour les oiseaux nicheurs (liés aux prairies de fauche, à la rivière…) que pour les oiseaux migrateurs (liés en particulier aux inondations). |
4.2 Quality and importance
| En plein cœur de la vallée de l'Aisne, le site présente un aspect très intéressant pour l'avifaune du fait de la présence de nombreuses prairies de fauche. Localisé au sein d'un important couloir de migration à l'échelle de la région, ce site Natura 2000 joue un rôle important aussi bien pour les oiseaux nicheurs (liés aux prairies de fauche, à la rivière…) que pour les oiseaux migrateurs (liés en particulier aux inondations). Les espèces phares du site sont notamment le Courlis cendré et la pie-grièche écorcheur. Aussi, ce secteur est particulièrement important pour les cigognes (noires et blanches).
Le classement de cette zone, située entre la ZPS "confluence des vallées de l'Aisne et de l'Aire" et la ZSC de la vallée de l'Aisne, permet d'assurer une continuité du réseau au niveau de la vallée. |
