Other Site Characteristics
Caractéristiques géomorphologiques :La Risle, la Guiel et la Charentonne sont des cours d'eau calcaires caractéristiques, entaillant le plateau sénomanien du Bassin Parisien.
Les lits majeurs sont constitués d'alluvions modernes.
Rivières souterraines (surface inconnue)
- De gros problèmes de circulation des migrateurs.
- L'intérêt biologique des lits majeurs proposés pour l'Agrion de Mercure et certains habitats humides dépend du maintien d'une gestion agricole extensive des prairies. |
4.2 Quality and importance
Rivières à très fort potentiel piscicole, notamment pour la truite de mer.
D'après un ouvrage de l'AESN sur la qualité des rivières, la Risle présente une qualité physico-chimique bonne (hors métaux lourds).
Site exceptionnel pour l'écrevisse à pattes blanches surtout sur la partie amont du Guiel. La population semble avoir disparu au début des années 2010. Cause probable : pollution de l'eau (sel et/ou intrants).
Existence de mégaphorbiaies remarquables sur les berges du Guiel et de la Charentonne.
Dans le département de l'Eure le lit majeur des rivières Risle, Guiel et Charentonne accueillent la plus belle population d'agrion de Mercure (Coenagrion mercuriale) de Haute Normandie d'où l'extension du site à de grandes surfaces en lit majeur (plus de 4000 ha). A l'occasion de cette extension, plusieurs habitats présents dans les vallées sont inclus dans le site, notamment des prairies humides oligotrophes à Molinie (code 6410) et des prairies maigres de fauche (code 6510), dont certaines particulièrement belles à renouée bistorte dans la vallée de la Guiel.
De plus, la présence proche de grands sites d'hibernation de chauves-souris fait de ce site un territoire de chasse privilégié pour ces mammifères. |
