Other Site Characteristics

Caractéristiques géomorphologiques : versant de talwegs creusés dans le plateau crayeux normand. Comme toute grotte à chauve-souris, le site est très sensible au dérangement et à la fréquentation humaine. Hormis ce problème, le site n'est fondamentalement que peu vulnérable. Les consignes de gestion porteront sur le maintien de l'accessibilité des grottes aux Chiroptères et à la pérennité du couvert forestier en bordure de grottes.

4.2 Quality and importance

Réseau de cavités exceptionnelle pour le petit rhinolophe en Haute-Normandie. Ces cavités jouent un grand rôle dans le maintien de populations de chauve-souris dans ce secteur essentiellement constitué de grandes cultures. Motivation pour la liste des autres espèces importantes de la faune et de la flore (rubrique3-3) : protection au niveau national.
