Other Site Characteristics

Situé dans la dépression argileuse de la Woëvre, le site est bordé par la Wiseppe et abrite des forêts humides.Inondable et marécageux il est situé sur une zone présentant une couche limoneuse très épaisse (60 cm) d'origine alluviale. Modifications du fonctionnement hydrographique du bassin versant. Des phénomènes de dépérissement sont à noter. Problème général concernant la pérennité à long terme de ce milieu.

Petit site remarquable par la présence d'une très belle forêt alluviale à Orme lisse comportant dans son cortège dendrologique des individus âgés.
