Other Site Characteristics

La pelouse de Circourt (11,4 ha) est à classer en habitat prioritaire (abritant un riche cortège d'orchidées) Les pelouses sont menacées par l'enfrichement alors que les prairies sont de mauvaise qualité.

4.2 Quality and importance

Site éclaté constitué de milieux forestiers (forêts de ravin, hêtraies calcicoles), de pelouses à orchidées, parois rocheuses, éboulis, dalles et milieux prairiaux humides). Il est fréquenté par plusieurs espèces de chauves-souris, dont le Petit rhinolophe et le Grand murin, deux espèces de l'annexe II présentes en reproduction. Leurs gîtes de mise bas (bâtiments) ainsi que des gîtes d'hibernation (grottes, ancien ouvrage militaire) sont également inclus dans le périmètre. On trouve également dans ce site des plantes très rares en Lorraine comme Inula britanica, Gratiola officinalis et Carex hallerana.
