Other Site Characteristics

Ce site composé de deux parties : - les zones agricoles de la vallée - les pelouses calcaires de Troussey Socle de couches calcaires et marneuses avec dépôt d'alluvions apportées par le lit majeur de la Meuse. Le site suit le tracé de la rivière et le relief est très peu prononcé. Problème du maintien et de la gestion extensive des milieux prairiaux. Menaces éventuelles liées à la protection des berges de la rivière.

4.2 Quality and importance

Complexe humide de la vallée de la Meuse avec des prairies inondables et des marais jouxtant des milieux secs sur les coteaux en rive droite (pelouses calcicoles à orchidées). Notons parmi les espèces rares présentes Inula britanica, Gratiola officinalis et Teucrium scordium.
