Other Site Characteristics

Vaste ensemble alluvial s'étirant sur plus de 50 kilomètres et comprenant le réseau formé par la vallée du Né lui même, ainsi que plusieurs petits affluents secondaires. Altération de la qualité des eaux, changement d'affectation des prairies naturelles humides, extension de la céréaliculture, diminution de débit critique pendant la période estivale.

4.2 Quality and importance

Dans son cours inférieur, rivière mésotrophe à nombreux bras, bordée d'une végétation ligneuse bien développée et variée (ripisylve, forêts alluviales, dont aulnaies-frênaies, peupleraies...) dans un paysage bocager à impact humain relativement faible; prairies naturelles humides de grande richesse biologique. Dans son cours moyen, le Né traverse un paysage d'openfield, principalement voué à l'agriculture intensive. Présence traditionnelle du Vison d'Europe depuis plus de 50 ans. Récemment, plusieurs captures accidentelles dans les pièges à ragondins.
