Other Site Characteristics

Vaste complexe alluvial du bassin amont de la rivière Seugne, incluant le chevelu de ses principaux affluents. Intensification agricole, transformation des prairies naturelles humides, transformation des prairies naturelles en peupleraies, arasement de la végétation rivulaire, diminution critique du débit en période estivale.

4.2 Quality and importance

Rivières mésotrophes à nombreux bras, délimitant des îles peu accessibles à l'homme, bordées de forêts alluviales bien développées, à structure hétérogène, où l'impact humain est négligeable. Un des plus importants sites pour le Vison d'Europe dans la région : présence continue depuis plus de cinquante ans, une vingtaine de mentions au cours de ces deux dernières années.
