Other Site Characteristics

Caractéristiques liées au relief karstique : coteaux secs avec pelouses sèches à très sèches, ensemble de grottes avec chauves-souris, forêts sèches avec insectes forestiers. Très forte, liée à l'enfrichement "galopant" des pelouses et pour les petits et grands Rhinolophes, du fait que leur habitat tombe en ruines (batiments agricoles désaffectés).

4.2 Quality and importance

Ensemble de petits massifs calcaires karstifiés avec sites à orchidées exceptionnels, grottes de reproduction pour les chauves-souris, trés fort endémisme, espèces troglophiles, espèces méditerranéennes en limite d'aire (dont Lavandula angustifolia subsp. pyrenaica et Ophrys lutea). Vaste zone de prairies avec réseau de granges abritant des populations importantes de petits et grands Rhinolophes. Présence ancienne de Vertigo moulinsiana.
