Other Site Characteristics

Le site est localisé sur 2 domaines biogéographiques: 42% pour le domaine atlantique et 58% pour le domaine alpin. Veiller à un maintien de qualité et quantité d'eau suffisantes pour la vie des espèces aquatiques. Veiller au bon fonctionnement dynamique des Gaves pour assurer la bonne conservation et régénération des habitats et des espèces associés.

4.2 Quality and importance

Réseaux linéaires (Gaves) sélectionnés pour leurs capacités d'accueil du saumon Salmo salar (restauration en cours). Gorges étroites et fraîches assez escarpées avec forêts jeunes à grande diversité spécifique en arbres à feuilles caduques (tilleuls, frênes, érables, chênes). Une rypisylve et des annexes fluviales riches en espèces et importantes pour le bon fonctionnement de l'écosystème des Gaves.
