Other Site Characteristics

Les différentes influences bioclimatiques qui s'expriment sur ce secteur de l'Ariège, expliquent la grande diversité des habitats retrouvés à ce niveau. La présence de Genévrier thurifère est une des caractéristiques du site, car c'est l'une des deux stations Pyrénéennes. La vulnérabilité est forte dans les habitats ouverts en raison de la diminution de la pression pastorale.

4.2 Quality and importance

Milieux rupestres exceptionnels Présence de 2 couples de vautours percnoptères, de l'aigle royal (plusieurs couples), de sites de nidifications pour le faucon pélerin et le hibou grand-duc (plusieurs couples). Le Gyapète barbu est observé en trio sur la zone depuis un an (recherche de site de nidification).
