Other Site Characteristics

Présence d'anciennes mines d'or à proximité faisant l'objet d'un plan de réhabilitation. Abandon des activités de paturage sur les landes et déficit de gestion forestière pour les habitats forestiers.

4.2 Quality and importance

Situées en Basse Combraille, les gorges de la Tardes et la vallée du Cher forment un vaste ensemble de ravins composés essentiellement d'habitats forestiers entrecoupés de quelques landes et de beaux habitats rocheux. Elles constituent un important refuge pour la faune et la flore sauvages.
