Other Site Characteristics

Le site est composé des forêts de ravins bordant la Dordogne, zone de quiétude pour les rapaces, et des rebords du plateau à vocation agricole extensive. Le site constitué essentiellement de gorges est peu vulnérable aux activités humaines. Les activités touristiques qui existent déjà sur le site, et qui pourront bénéficier de sa désignation, devraient pouvoir continuer à se développer dans un esprit de développement durable. L'activité agricole essentiellement basée sur un système herbager est à conforter pour conserver les territoires de chasse des rapaces. L'activité forestière est réduite.

4.2 Quality and importance

La vallée de la Dordogne est constituée de gorges offrant de fortes pentes et constituant les zones de reproduction privilégiées pour les rapaces. Les espaces agricoles présents constituent les territoires de chasse de ces oiseaux.
