Other Site Characteristics

Bassin versant ardéchois de l'Allier. Moule perlière, loutre, écrevisse à pieds blanc nécessitent des eaux claires. Il faut donc veiller à la qualité des petits cours d'eau et des afluents de l'Allier. La préservation de nombreux insectes xylophages, tel que Rosalia alpina, passe par la conservation des restes de forêt primitive.

4.2 Quality and importance

Le bassin de l'Allier est rendu remarquable par la présence de nombreuses espèces aquatiques. En particulier, la présence exceptionnelle de la Moule perlière, ainsi que de la Loutre avec une population forte d'au moins 10 à 15 individus, confirme la qualité des cours d'eau. L'avifaune est importante.
