Other Site Characteristics

Site de haute montagne constitué de sapinières, landes, falaises et alpages. Alpes intermédiaires sur silice avec influence atlantique et méditerranéenne. Milieu peu perturbé par l'homme vu le dénivelé et les difficultés d'accès. Vulnérabilité faible sur l'ensemble du site, sauf sur les habitats sujets à l'embrousaillement. Il faudrait maintenir les prairies de fauche en voie d'abandon.

4.2 Quality and importance

Site caractéristique du massif. Pelouse alpine bien développée sur silice, ce qui est peu fréquent sur le massif des Ecrins où les éléments pionniers dominent. Prairies de fauche sur silice. Belle cembraie sur silice et pinède de Pins à Crochet sur Rhododendron. Forêt de ravin (le seul habitat prioritaire du site). Landes à Genêt ailé et callune à affinités subatlantiques. Zone difficilement accessible et très peu perturbée par l'homme. Potentille du Dauphiné (Potentilla delphinensis) : présente dans trois vallons, du pic de la Festoule au col de l'Ardouère. Les station s'étagent de 1650 m à 2050 m d'altitude. La plupart comporte entre 2 et 100 individus sur des surfaces allant de 1 à 2000 m carrés. Seules trois stations comptent plus de 100 individus. Belles populations de chauves-souris DH4.
