Other Site Characteristics

Site en limite des Alpes internes et oroméditerranéennes - subméditerranéennes. Bon état de conservation. Perte de la biodiversité par abandon de l'agriculture, fermeture du milieu. La population d'Astragale queue de Renard est gérée et suivie par l'ONF (programme spécifique).

4.2 Quality and importance

Site intéressant pour ses formations tufeuses bien développées et une importante station d'Astragale queue de Renard excentrée par rapport à la population du Guil. Les sites FR9301525 et FR9301523 sont complémentaires et adjacents (versant Nord-versant Sud) en zone limite Alpes internes et oroméditerranéennes - subméditerranéennes. Site peu prospecté et mal connu. Précisions concernant les pelouses steppiques subcontinentales (Stipo-Poion carnolicae) : Un des rares sites Natura 2000 présentant ce type de pelouses, constituant un enjeu très fort de conservation car occupant de très faibles surfaces à l'échelle de la France (quelques vallées des Alpes occidentales), des Alpes dans leur ensemble et de l'Union européenne. Pressions de disparition ou de dégradation accentuées ces dernières années (abandon pastoral en raison de leur faible productivité ou a contrario tentative d'intensification par irrigation, urbanisation et développement récent d'installations industrielles de production d'énergie renouvelable). Initialement rattachées au code EUR27 / 6240 dans le précédent FSD, ces pelouses ont été intégrées dans le code 6210, dont elles constituent un sous-type particulier (= sous-type 1 dans le cahier d'habitats tome 4 volume 2). Décision résultant d'une concertation entre plusieurs experts nationaux (MNHN, CBNA, CSRPN PACA), en mai 2010. A considérer comme un enjeu de conservation prioritaire, et à bien distinguer des autres sous-types de pelouses du 6210, moins rares donc de moindre enjeu.
