Other Site Characteristics

Site comprenant de nombreuses falaises. La végétation est principalement composée de garrigue entrecoupée de pelouses sèches et de quelques tâches de résineux. Le site se trouve dans un état de conservation satisfaisant. Acquis par le conservatoire du littoral, il est préservé de l'urbanisation. Le déclin du pastoralisme a conduit à une régression des pelouses sèches par embroussaillement. Cette dynamique ne pourra être enrayée que par une politique active de réouverture des milieux. La zone est très sensible aux risques d'incendie.

4.2 Quality and importance

Le site abrite un couple d'Aigle de Bonelli, espèce rare et menacée en France (environ 30 couples). Espèces nichant hors périmètre mais fréquentant le site pour s'alimenter en période de reproduction : Circaète Jean-le-Blanc, Faucon pèlerin, Milan noir.
